Luis Navarro presented NFL Hispanic Heritage Leadership Award

Posted Sep 24, 2013

The Seahawks awarded Luis Navarro for his influential work in the Hispanic community.

Prior to the Seattle Seahawks Week 3 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars at CenturyLink Field, Luis Navarro was presented with the NFL Hispanic Heritage Leadership Award for the 2013 season.

Navarro, a former Board President of the US-Mexico Chamber of Commerce Pacific Northwest Chapter who holds several leadership positions in Washington, was nominated for his passionate work within the One League for Everyone (OLE) community. Navarro's work with OLE assists low-income and underprivelaged families with the financial burdens of youth sports, ensuring all youth have an equal opportunity to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle.

The award for Navarro comes during Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 - October 15), a time when the NFL joins in paying tribute to the generations of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and society.
