RENTON, Wash. – The Sea Gals have been selected to participate in Hong Kong’s Chinese New Year festivities including the Cathay Pacific International Chinese New Year Parade on Sunday, February 10, 2013. The parade will be televised to an audience of millions from around the globe. The Sea Gals were the only performance group from the U.S. chosen to perform.

Led by Sea Gals director Sherri Thompson, the group is consistently recognized as one of the top dance and sideline performance teams in the NFL. The traveling contingent will include 30 Sea Gals and the team mascot, Blitz.

“It is an honor to be selected to participate in this prestigious international event,” said Sea Gals director Sherri Thompson. “We look forward to connecting with Seahawks fans from all over the world.”

The Sea Gals will be joined in the parade by other leading international and local performers in addition to more than a dozen intricately crafted floats traveling along Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon. The annual Cathay Pacific International Chinese New Year Parade was recently selected as one of the world’s top must-see events by Lonely Planet.
