Occupation: Student
High School: Tumwater High School (Tumwater, WA)
College: Centralia College/University of Washington Tacoma
Major or Degree: Healthcare Leadership
Years as a Sea Gal: Rookie
Dance Background: I danced at Debbie’s Dance Studio in Lacey for ten years. There, I studied ballet, jazz and tap. I was on the Varsity dance team at Tumwater High School for four years. We competed in pom, hip hop and jazz in Washington State and took our hip hop and pom to the National level.
Hobbies: I love helping new dancers grow so I really enjoy coaching the Junior Varsity dance team at Tumwater High School. It’s so rewarding to help someone realize their talents while doing what you love. I am very close with my family so I take as many opportunities as I can to spend time with them.
Major Goal I Have Met: Being a part of the Sea Gals is such an incredible accomplishment for me. This is what I have always wanted to do with my dance career and I made it!
Best Experience: One of the best experiences of my life was when I went to Disney World in Orlando,Florida with the Tumwater Junior Varsity dance team in February 2011. They competed in the hip hop division with a routine that I choreographed and took 6th place in the nation! I am still so proud of them!
How I Stay Fit: Eating right is so important when you’re trying to stay fit. I have large, healthy breaskfasts for all day energy and smaller meals throughout the rest of the day. Dancing is a great cardio workout. I, of course, dance at practice but also on the days in between so that I always get that great workout for the day. I also do yoga and I work on my abs almost everyday by using a fit ball.
Best Part of Being a Sea Gal: Dancing for the 12th man…GO HAWKS!
