Occupation: Project Planner
High School: Putnam City North (Oklahoma City, OK)
College: Georiga State University & University of Maryland
Major or Degree: Accounting & Project Management
Years as a Sea Gal: Rookie
Dance Background: My dance training started in high school while taking Jazz and Ballet. Later in college I participated in several dance groups on campus and in the local Atlanta area. For the past 5 years I have been involved in Salsa, Rumba, Hip Hop and Contemporary dance.
Hobbies: I enjoy hiking, jet skiing, dirt bike riding, riding horses, cooking and shopping!
Major Goal I Have Met: My major accomplishment is graduating from college and having already obtained 4 major internships with some of the best global employers. This experience has given me the opportunity to work for the #1 aerospace company in the world and I absolutely love my career!
Best Experience: One of the best experiences I’ve had was packing up all my belongings, moving to Atlanta to start my career and never looking back. Through this experience I was able to become independent, develop a network and was able to build a career path for myself. I’m now much closer to God, my family and friends because of this decision.
How I Stay Fit: Fitness is one of my top 3 priorities in my life! Working out allows me to clear my mind and get better sleep. I stay fit by hiking, kickboxing, and doing P90X. I’ll also practice hot yoga to relax and stretch my muscles after a vigorous dance workout. My nutritional regimen is pretty simple, as I keep junk food and processed food intake to a minimum. My diet includes salmon, turkey burgers, salads, strawberries and plenty of water.
Best Advice: The best advice I have received so far is to learn to cope with failures to become a better person. When you fail it’s not the end of the world and whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Just learn from failure and keep it moving forward! Always stay positive and be nice to everyone including adversaries. You will become a better person at the end of the day and live life to the fullest. Cheers.
Best Part of Being a Sea Gal: The best part of being a Sea Gal so far is learning so many diverse styles of dance! Dancing has and will always be a part of my life. I look forward to being part of the camaraderie, the sweat, the tears, the commitment, the losses and the wins of a game. I also feel honored to perform in front of others and simply be involved with this group of professional dancers. I hope look back on this experience with pride and most importantly I hope to be able to inspire others within my community.
