Occupation: Student
High School: Issaquah High School (Issaquah, WA)
College: University of Washington
Major or Degree: Business Administration/Marketing, French
Years as a Sea Gal: 3 Years
Dance Background: I started in ballet and gymnastics at age 4. I competed nationally in gymnastics for about 10 years, and switched to all-star cheerleading in high school. In middle school and high school I did a combination of jazz, hip hop, musical theatre, and Pointe. I love anything that lets me perform in front of an audience; I love being on stage!
Hobbies: In my spare time I enjoy reading, vacationing, and teaching young girls. Before I started my career as a Sea Gal, I taught seasonal 8-week cheer, dance, and gymnastic programs to girls ages 3-10. I love working with children and promoting the importance of exercise starting at a young age. Now, I teach themed cardio dance to adults including country line dancing and salsa.
Major Goal I Have Met: A major accomplishment for me has been being able to be a Sea Gal while focusing so much of my time to my degree. UW’s Accounting program is very competitive and difficult, so proving to myself that I can earn my degree while being a part of a team that I love more than anything has been a major accomplishment for me.
Best Experience: My rookie year, 2010, the Seahawks played the Saints at home in a playoff game. We won after an incredible run by Marshawn Lynch whose “Best Mode” caused an earthquake in the stadium from all the noise. It was epic!
How I Stay Fit: I eat well and exercise well. I believe in eating when you’re hungry and eating good, healthy food. I also do a lot of cardio workouts including my favorite Body Attack class at Gold’s Gym!
Best Advice: One of my favorite quotes, “Never do things other can do and will do, if there are things others cannot do or will not do”. – Amelia Earhart
Best Part of Being a Sea Gal:Cheering for the 65,000 fans at every home game! The Seahawks have the best and loudest fans in the NFL, and I look forward to the football season all year long.
